About GetNewProspects

GetNewProspects was built by one person, for one reason — to make it easier to find local business leads and keep track of them without spreadsheets or WhatsApp groups.

How it started

It began as a personal workflow — selling web services to local businesses meant manually combing Google Maps and Instagram for places that looked like a fit, then juggling links and half-finished notes while trying to follow up without dropping threads.

The stopgap was a WhatsApp group: drop a Maps link, deal with it later. That worked until it didn't. What I actually needed was a tiny CRM just for my own leads — so I built a basic CRUD to store them in one place instead of chats and spreadsheets.

The next question was practical: could AI read a Google Maps or Instagram link and turn it into a lead card without me copying fields by hand? I built that. Then: was there an API that could search by region so I wasn't opening Maps for every street? I wired in the Google Maps API and automated the prospecting side. At some point it was obvious — this was too useful to hoard. So it became a product.

Who GetNewProspects is for

GetNewProspects is for people like the founder — freelancers, agency owners, and sales reps who are trying to find their first clients or scale outreach without enterprise tools.

  • Freelancers selling web, SEO, or digital services to local businesses
  • Small agencies building outbound pipelines by niche and geography
  • SDRs and sales teams prospecting local markets
  • Anyone who has ever saved a business link in a notes app or WhatsApp group and wished there was a better way

The problem it solves

Finding local businesses without a website or with a weak online footprint is slow. You sift through Maps, sanity-check listings, save what matters, reach out, and remember where each conversation left off. Nothing off-the-shelf really matched that loop — generic CRMs want a full company rollout; spreadsheets and chat threads don't carry context.

GetNewProspects sits in that gap: Maps search built in, AI-assisted lead creation from links when you already have a URL, and simple pipeline tracking in one lightweight place instead of bloated tooling.

Built by one person

Designed, shipped, and maintained by a solo founder. It started as a private tool because I needed it; it turned into something others could use when the same pain kept showing up in conversations.

Development is still driven by real usage and feedback rather than a roadmap dictated by investors. No VC, no inflated enterprise pricing, no kitchen-sink CRM — usefulness comes first.

If you have ever searched Google Maps manually looking for your next client, GetNewProspects was built for you.
